Contemporary Clinical Trials is an international journal that publishes manuscripts pertaining to the design, methods and operational aspects of clinical trials. Manuscripts submitted should appeal to a readership drawn from disciplines including medicine, biostatistics, epidemiology, computer science, management science, behavioral science, pharmaceutical science, and bioethics. Full-length papers and short communications not exceeding 1,500 words in the following subject areas will be published:

  • Methods and case examples of monitoring clinical trials for evidence of adverse or beneficial treatment effects
  • Cost assessment of procedures used for data generation, processing, and auditing in clinical trials
  • Assessment of the impact of clinical trials on the practice of medicine
