Understanding transport ventilators
Abstract
A strong working knowledge of the basic life functions provides a sound foundation for making the decisions necessary to deal with respiratory-compromised patients. This article offers a general overview of the four vital life functions and how to provide optimal respiratory support with transport mechanical ventilators. Health care professionals who transport patients by ground or air will find these ventilators far more superior to bag-value devices in maintaining minute volume.
